Get to Know Kaitlyn
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. The Sounds & Soul Outreach lead by Kaitlyn shows her love to harness that power with a broad audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike, which lead to Songwriters in the Round. Ever since a young age playing the piano and singing, Kaitlyn has found great joy and satisfaction by being involved in the creative music process. She writes with guitar and is currently pursing writing with her primary instrument, the piano. She believes the musical sound brings out the words. The lyrics can't happen without feeling it through melodies. This form of expression allowed Kaitlyn to heal as a whole and to move on doing God's will for her (song title "Your Will").
Kaitlyn has sung solos and harmonizing duets for church services and events, weddings, funerals, the National Anthem at sporting events, competed for solo positions, country music concerts at small town squares and also recorded a song at her own wedding that played during her father-daughter dance. She has been involved with multiple Praise Teams and currently serves at Lutheran Church of Hope. Her first song she wrote in 2013, was called "Live Fully." She wrote a country song after that, but music was put on a shelf. Now, it's time to get back to who she really is. Read her testimony.
